Join Music with Michal for a fun, upbeat, and interactive music show designed for young children. The show is filled with Michal's popular hit songs, as well as beloved children's classics that children will enjoy singing along to. Michal is one of New Zealand's top children's artists, and she is accompanied by her daughters Harper, Sadie, and Clementine. Children will be up on their feet, following along with the dance moves and having a fabulous time.

The Alpine Winter Festival is so excited to welcome Michal back to Hanmer Springs! Michal Bush has been delighting children with her fun and catchy music since 2012, infusing it with the lively spirit of New Zealand. With four impressive albums under her belt, Michal's music has become a staple in homes and classrooms worldwide.
Michal will be performing 2 shows on Tuesday 9th July. 10am & 11.30am at Hanmer Springs Community Hall.

Under Our Stars - A Family Night Routine
Join Seedlings Music Therapy, Music with Michal, and The Creative Club at The Bridge Hub in South New Brighton for a night of wonderfully calm and connecting music and art. Together we will snuggle up and listen to lullabies, practice movements that will help us get sleepy, make a nighttime tapestry of stars to hang next to the bed, and wind down with a sound bath. Come along in your pajamas, bring a blanket and a cushion, and settle in for a delightful evening. An evening for the whole whanau where you will walk away with some new sleepy-time strategies to try out in your own home.
The event consists of:
A welcome pack with creative goodies for the children to explore while the parents read some information about music and art therapy to aid relaxation
Live lullabies from Music with Michal
Yoga, and Sound bath from Seedlings Music Therapy
A connecting therapeutic art activity from The Creative Club
Come along in your pyjamas, bring a pillow and let’s get ready for bed
Mindful Music May
May is NZ Music Month and I would love to celebrate by spending Mondays singing together.
Four calm music and art sessions designed for preschoolers to explore their creativity with their grown up.
When: May 6th, 13th, 20th and 27th
Where: Maker Workshop - The Arts Centre
Time: 9:45am - 10:30am
Price: $70 for the full month of sessions
Each session involves
- Music time with props (scarves, shakers, parachute, ribbons)

Mindful Music + Art Classes
Relaxed art and music classes for preschoolers to explore creativity and movement in a calm environment with limited numbers.
All children are welcome at these limited classes but they are especially perfect for children who love music but find big concerts overwhelming, or preschoolers who love quietly creating!
Each week will explore a theme through music, art, storytelling and simple movement.
CLASS ONE: 10am - 10:45am - 1-3 year olds
CLASS TWO: 11am - 11:45am - 3-5 year olds (older children welcome)
All children need a ticket (unless baby sibling sleeping in pram). Classes are limited to 15 children.

New Years Eve at Hagley Park!
Bring in 2024 with your whānau at Ōtautahi Christchurch's biggest FREE afternoon family NYE party with iconic kiwi children's entertainer, Suzy Cato!
Suzy Cato will kick the party off with giveaways, performances, dancing and music. Local children's entertainer Music with Michal will also be there to perform, as well as pop cover band Black and Gold.
It wouldn't be New Year's without a fireworks display... well in this case, a mock display for the kiddies.

Let's sing for spring!
Join Michal for a fun, interactive, joyful music show. Playing a selection of her popular music - as well as beloved children's classics - this cheerful celebration of spring will have children (and their grown ups) dancing and singing along!
Music with Michal is an award-winning songwriter and performer known for her catchy original music. She won Best Children's Artist at the 2022 NZ Children's Music Awards, and Best Children's Song in 2021, and was a finalist in the International Songwriting Awards 2022.
Michal has released three albums, six books, and a mindful music resource. You can find her music on all streaming platforms - and check out her new series with Moe on Youtube.
